Who we are
Pocket PDF and this website are provided by C-ERA INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY LIMITED ("we", "us"). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the iOS app, visit pocket-pdf.cera.hk or contact support. Contact: support@cera.hk.
Documents and on-device processing
The app processes documents and images you select, annotations, text edits and recognized text to provide PDF tools. PDF processing, document conversion and OCR take place on your device. The current iOS app does not require an account or include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, and does not upload your document contents to a server operated by us.
Local storage, backups and deletion
The app stores imported copies, generated documents, document metadata, favorites, reading positions, preferences and OCR indexes locally. Deleting a library document removes the app-managed copy and its associated OCR index. Original files, exported or shared copies and system backups are separate. Manage those copies in their respective destinations and backup settings. Uninstalling the app removes its local app data, subject to operating-system behavior and any retained backups.
File access and sharing
System document and photo pickers provide access to the items you choose. You control which files to import and where to export or share them. A destination app, cloud drive or other service receives the content you choose to send and handles it under its own policies. Selecting files from a cloud provider may involve that provider’s network services.
App Store purchases
Apple processes payments, purchase history, refunds and purchase restoration. The app uses StoreKit and Apple-verified transaction information to determine access to purchased features. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple handles information under its own privacy policy. App Store and optional operating-system diagnostics are also subject to Apple’s policies and your device settings.
Website hosting and language preference
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Delivering and securing the site may involve processing an IP address, requested URL, browser or device information, request time and security events. Cloudflare may process this technical information across its global infrastructure and use security-related cookies where applicable. The site stores your selected language in your browser’s local storage; you can remove it by clearing site data. The website does not offer document uploads.
Support messages
If you email support@cera.hk, we and the email services used to deliver and store the message receive your email address, message contents and any attachments you choose to provide. We use this information to answer your request, troubleshoot issues, protect the service and meet applicable legal obligations. Provide only information needed for your request and remove confidential content from screenshots or files.
Recipients, retention and safeguards
Information may be processed by hosting and email service providers for the purposes described above, or disclosed when legally required or necessary to protect lawful rights. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising tracking. Support information is kept only as long as necessary to handle the request and related legal or security needs, then deleted or anonymized. Hosting and email providers may retain technical records and backup copies under their service policies. Information may be handled outside your location. We use reasonable safeguards, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Your choices and requests
You can manage local documents, permissions, backups and website storage through the app and system or browser settings. To ask about, access, correct or request deletion of personal information we hold from support correspondence, email support@cera.hk. Other rights may apply depending on your location. We may need proportionate information to verify a request. We cannot remotely access or delete documents held only on your device or copies held by independent destinations.
Children and policy changes
Where required by law, minors should use the app with a parent or guardian’s permission. If you believe a child has sent personal information to support without appropriate permission, please contact us. We may update this policy as the product or data practices change. The updated version and date will be published here; material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
