These terms describe the use of the Pocket PDF iOS app and pocket-pdf.cera.hk, provided by C-ERA INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY LIMITED. Please read them before using the services. If you cannot agree, do not use the services. Questions can be sent to support@cera.hk. These terms do not remove rights you have under applicable consumer law.
Apple’s application license
The iOS app is licensed under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless a valid custom license is provided through the App Store. This page provides additional product and website usage information; it does not replace or override Apple’s applicable license or App Store terms. Open-source components remain subject to their respective licenses, available in the app’s third-party notices.
Permitted use and document ownership
You retain your rights in documents and other content you process. Using the app does not transfer those rights to us. Only import, modify, decrypt, convert or share content you own or have permission to use. A known password does not by itself establish authorization. Do not use the services to infringe intellectual property, unlawfully access information, distribute malicious content or interfere with the services. Legal exceptions and permissions granted by applicable licenses remain unaffected.
Editing, OCR and conversion limitations
Text editing depends on the source document’s text layer, fonts and layout. OCR, conversion and PDF operations can produce errors or change formatting; OCR does not automatically make original scanned text editable. Review output before relying on or sharing it. Keep separate copies of important originals and verify passwords before protecting a document. We cannot recover unknown document passwords or documents stored only on your device.
Purchases and restoration
The app offers free functionality and optional paid features. The current Pro product is a one-time, non-consumable App Store purchase with no automatic renewal. The App Store purchase sheet shows the applicable price and currency before confirmation. Use Restore Purchases in Settings with the original Apple Account to restore eligible purchases. Entitlements are subject to Apple verification and may change after a refund or revocation. Apple handles billing and refund requests under its rules and applicable law. A purchase does not promise unspecified future features or perpetual compatibility with every device or operating system.
Privacy and third-party services
Our Privacy Policy explains on-device processing, local storage, website hosting and support correspondence. Exporting or sharing sends the chosen content to your selected destination, which operates under its own terms and privacy policy. Apple services and external websites also apply their own terms. We do not control independent third-party services.
Updates, availability and responsibility
Features and compatibility may evolve through updates. We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee error-free processing or uninterrupted access. To the extent permitted by law, the services are provided on an as-available basis. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits mandatory consumer remedies, or changes rights under Apple’s applicable license. Do not rely on the app as the only copy of important records.
Changes and contact
Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised date. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law and do not retroactively remove accrued rights. Applicable law and jurisdiction for the iOS app license are addressed in Apple’s applicable license, subject to mandatory local protections.
